Norwegian Icons is introducing Norwegian design to the world. Norwegian contributions have long been unappreciated in the world of Scandinavian design. Fuglen, a Norwegian cafe and and bar based in Oslo and Tokyo, set out to fix this by starting Norwegian Icons and putting on exhibitions focused on Norwegian Mid-Century design. With exhibitions in Oslo, Tokyo, and New York, Norwegian Icons succeeded in raising the profile of Norwegian design around the world.

In Japan, Norwegian Icons is now introducing reproduction vintage design furniture alongside new productions from up and coming talent. These productions are the new Norwegian icons, and Norwegian Icons are excited to be a design archive where anyone in Japan can participate in Norwegian design history.
